We knew there was a better way.
After serving at one of the largest firms in the country as a nationally recognized advisor for nearly two decades, our Founding Principal and CEO, Harry Pearson, heard a calling. He felt a tug to expand how he operated to further empower his clients to feel fully aligned with their investing efforts.
Even though peers and leaders loved him, they continued to affirm that they were not about what he was about. His experience had given him the insight that, while large, corporate financial firms have much to offer, they are solely focused on earnings and didn’t think about the impact one’s investments can make.
Harry, however, felt led to help his clients develop customized investment strategies that were fully aligned with their values, convictions, and passions, and to use their wealth to help make a difference in the world.
In 2017, Harry Pearson and Rob Grubb founded OneAscent to help advisors and investors implement Kingdom-minded, values-based financial solutions.
Unlike so many other advisors and firms, this move was not a business decision designed to purely increase profits. If we believe that everything we have is a gift that God has given to us, then our money, finances, and assets are not ours to own but to steward.
Today, OneAscent is a growing team still centered on the exact same mission.
Now, OneAscent is a family of six entities that exist to empower stewards to thrive in life and in legacy and to bless humanity through values-based financial solutions. Our team of almost 60 employees and almost 70 advisors proudly serves clients across 49 states and provinces, and we’ve doubled our total assets from $2.2B in September 2024 to $4.4B as of September 30, 2024.1
God gives each of us a calling to play a part in His story.
The words of Paul in his letter to the Ephesians eloquently highlight this point.
